The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act is a crucial step in addressing childhood obesity and preventing diabetes. It will get junk food out of schools and put healthy school lunches into the hands of low-income students. And the Senate's unanimous support puts us that much closer to making enormous improvements in child nutrition.

We still have a battle to fight when the House returns from recess in September, but this is a major step in the right direction.
